My father moved in the summer of [date removed] before Covid locked everything down so we had a chance to get him settled in. During the pandemic when we were not able to visit, staff kept us up to date. Fortunately dad is still able to use his cell phone and reliably communicate what is going on. It was still reassuring to have a second set of eyes on him. I am POA and closest family but still 90 minutes away. I still have a full time job, 4 kids in town and grandchildren. I try to get back to Denison at least once a month to visit. Otherwise we keep in touch by phone and staff calls monthly to give me updates and ask if I have any concerns. Why didn't I give it 5 stars? The staff, cleanliness, meals, laundry and other ammenities make it a solid 4-stars. No amount of staff or money can make any facility 5-star. Home is the 5-star. The community is very beautiful and inviting. There are always fun activities happening and the tenants seem to truly be enjoying their stay. The staff go above and beyond and treat the tenants as their own family; they always have smiles on their faces making it clear that they love what they do.

My Mom has been in Reed Place since 2011. She had a sudden and serious health condition that kept her and my father from staying on their farm. They were hesitant in the beginning, thinking they could eventually return to their house. Instead within a few months they loved the social interaction of being at Reed Place. Mom calls the residents family. They have appreciated the great care they have received, and we kids know they are safe and under good care.

Reed Place provide a community where my family member has care, when needed, 24 hours a day. It’s a relief to have housekeeping, cleaning, and meal prep services.

Reed Place is a clean, safe, assisted living facility with friendly caring staff. The decor is very homey and comfortable. Some of the weekly activities include Bingo, cards and exercise. And there are several different mini church services.

I love this community for my mom she loves it here. The food is fair. The staff here is nice and caring. Lots of activities when mom is up to it like social hours and music things. It has a really nice courtyard she can enjoy. The place always stays clean and maintained.

This was a nice community for care. We liked the staff and the clean and environment. This was a small community and it did not have the activities that we needed at the time. We liked the menu of the meals, but a little improvements. We would recommend this community for the care of a loved one. We need them close to our home.
