Payson Open Door is not a safe place. Check the Arizona State Health Department citations. Lack of care, short staff, the manager is the nurse and she sleeps when she should be monitoring residents. Residents have taken multiple falls ending in a trips to the hospital. Money is the primary concern, not the care of the residents. The husband has an explosive temper. Our family had a terrible experience with our family member being injured many times before being moved to a facility that gave excellent care, good nutrition, and staff that communicated with the family and healthcare professionals. Payson Open Door should be closed down.
