Very nice and clean facility. The staff is well trained and have years of experience working with the elderly. They have a specialized unit working with the Alzheimer's and Dementia patients, also. The staff is awesome. They really seem to care and work well together. They know how to listen when there is a concern and give great family support. We felt like they took care of our loved one as well as us, the family too.... Read more

My 88 yr old mother who had lived on her own until May 2023 died after only 4 months of living at this facility. Odd Fellows Rebekah Home/Harmony Center in Mattoon has caring employees but appears to be grossly understaffed. Despite frequent family members expressing deep concerns about her need for more professional monitoring, she suffered two major falls resulting in devastating injuries and contracted COVID as well, requiring hospitalization on several occasions. I can not encourage anyone to entrust his or her loved one to this facility. It has been heartbreaking to see the rapid decline of someone who was entrusted to their care primarily due to memory loss. Her physical health was seriously compromised and she was not strong enough to recover from the injuries plus the COVID virus (spread by someone within the community). Without much warning one morning, she took her last breath before family could get there. It is a tragic story no one should ever have to tell or endure.

A Place for Mom has scored Odd Fellows-Rebekah Home 2 out of 10 using our proprietary review score.
We assign review scores to give a more reliable view into senior living communities and home care agencies. Our review scores prioritize reviews that are recent — the past 24 months — because we know families need current information when choosing senior care.
Those with many recent, positive reviews receive a high review score, while providers with few recent reviews — regardless of how positive — receive a lower review score. Communities with no recent reviews will not have a review score, even if older reviews are positive. The maximum A Place for Mom review score a community can receive is 10 points.
