This place is a beautiful home. We have a balcony that faces the back yard and woods. We have a covered porch that faces south where you can watch the traffic up on the road and watch chickens graze in the huge yard. Then there is a patio and a wheelchair ramp on the east side. Inside are large private rooms with bathrooms in them, and a large open living room/ dining room. Lots of windows for the natural sunlight to warm the heart. It was a little depressing, and a little ways out of town. The arrangement and the rooms, they were small. The people were just sitting around sad and not involved. There was one man laying on a couch that was not very clean. Just not a pleasant atmosphere.

A Place for Mom has scored Northwood Residence 6.5 out of 10 using our proprietary review score.
We assign review scores to give a more reliable view into senior living communities and home care agencies. Our review scores prioritize reviews that are recent — the past 24 months — because we know families need current information when choosing senior care.
Those with many recent, positive reviews receive a high review score, while providers with few recent reviews — regardless of how positive — receive a lower review score. Communities with no recent reviews will not have a review score, even if older reviews are positive. The maximum A Place for Mom review score a community can receive is 10 points.
