She's pleased with North Park Village & Cottages. It is very clean. All the staff seems really helpful. I ate all the meals there and the staff is good about observing everyone. There are so few residents there that the staff are able to pick up on things quickly and really know the residents needs. I was really worried about that. This was the only place we looked at that provided meals and housekeeping in a cottage setting. The one thing I would say that needs improving is for them to be more informative at the beginning. It seems like it would be helpful if there were a couple of pages they could outline like when the buses leave, what you do with the rent check, etc. I think there should be just an informational sheet on all of that. A lot of the little things like that would not only save the residents time it would save the staff time. We had to hunt them down quite a bit do ask those questions. We couldn't be more pleased with this location. It is more expensive than some others in the area, but it is worth every penny. The services offered are very inclusive and they constantly surprise us with their generous and genuine hospitality. Around here even bad places are outrageous, so to pay slightly more for a beautiful facility and wonderful staff and have such a solid peace of mind is priceless. Our only regret is that we didn't find it sooner!

My mom moved first to the Cottages. They are beautiful patio homes surrounded by lush gardens and trees. Then she moved into the assisted living at North Park Village. The staff was very attentive and caring. The chef tried to accommendate her request. The health care was provded without trips to the doctor. I have nothing but high praise for her experience at North Park Village & Cottages.

My experience has been limited, but it seems there needs to be more training of some of the staff to be more attentive to the needs of the residents.

My mom is in the independent living facility and I think she's getting more for her money than any other place we looked at. They do meals and housekeeping and the quality of it varies. It was really good when she moved in. I ate there and the food was great. I don't know if they got a new chef or something or if it's just her attitude. The activities are the one thing that I felt a little bit mislead on. In the independent part they don't really help with wheelchairs so she can't really take advantage of all the things they do. I'm working on getting her moved inside so that she can take part more. They're just absolutely beautiful. The grounds are really pretty and there is a garden. That's one of the reasons I moved her here - they atmosphere is just so pretty.

Employees were friendly & helpful on our tour. The cottages were small, but clean & well-maintained, with medical alert systems in each cottage. We loved the wide porches with plants & chairs. We liked that the center had outings & social activities. The outdoor area was lovely with wide sidewalks, although there is an incline to get from the cottages to the main center to eat, & this could be a problem in the winter. They do have meal delivery though. The costs were higher than we had anticipated, but we did like the facility & the residents looked happy

Check on patients every 2hours all night. Extensive activity program. Very home like atmosphere. work hand in hand with home care facilities just like in home.
