The rooms in the long term care facility were poorly lit and drab. We discovered evidence of mice in my fathers room. Staffing levels for the number of complex patients were ridiculously low. Often , when Dad needed to use the bathroom we would ring for someone and wait for 20 minutes or more. By that time my Dad had already wet his pants. Once, I found my father covered in dried stool and had to beg for help to get him cleaned up. Need I say more?
