A warm and caring staff, great for Chinese families

I go there every week on a weekend and I see them cleaning each day. No matter who I talk to whether it is the owner or staff, they always greet me with a smile and are happy to chat about my mom. Everyone seems knowledgeable about how she is doing. I see Pt coming in, social worker visit, they play games with her, the owner always gently pushes her to remember simple thing like what they had for meals and exercise her mind (she has dementia so her memory is spotty). They speak Cantonese, Mandarin, and English in this household so my mom, who only speaks Cantonese, can communicate. They have their own dedicated cook who cooks to everyone specifications (e.g. my mom has all her teeth so her food has heft to it while others who don’t have their teeth gets a different meal). It seems each person gets a different meal. They also cook Chinese in this household full of Cantonese and Mandarin speakers. They have people coming in like PT, they also go out once in a while to outings like dim sum or buffet which the residents love. The residents are in their 90s. We are on Medicaid so the value is great!... Read more

Frequently Asked Questions about Hill Park Family Home

A Place for Mom has scored Hill Park Family Home 8.5 out of 10 using our proprietary review score.

We assign review scores to give a more reliable view into senior living communities and home care agencies. Our review scores prioritize reviews that are recent — the past 24 months — because we know families need current information when choosing senior care.

Those with many recent, positive reviews receive a high review score, while providers with few recent reviews — regardless of how positive — receive a lower review score. Communities with no recent reviews will not have a review score, even if older reviews are positive. The maximum A Place for Mom review score a community can receive is 10 points.
