When my Mom was placed into hospice care, my brother and I were unsure about who would be able to take care of her. She couldn’t be alone at home, and we couldn’t afford to have someone with her 24 hours/day in her home. We were told about House of Harvest (and Harvest InHomeCare Inc.) and it seemed like exactly the option we were looking for. The caregivers were so kind and so wonderful with our Mom…we couldn’t have asked for more. I would definitely recommend Harvest.... Read more

My mom passed in February. We are no longer using the service - they were great during the time we had them though!
We liked Harvest In Home but had some problems with a couple of the care givers. One was forced to leave the property.

My parents live two states away and I help coordinate their care. My dad is bed bound, recovering from an accident and not independent; my mom was his primary caregiver until she was diagnosed with cancer, and we suddenly had no one to care for my dad. A quick referral to a social worker during my mom's inpatient stay led us to a liaison, who recommended Harvest. From the very beginning we couldn't have been happier with the communication, the quick availability of care - they were able to come do an assessment the same day - and the peace of mind knowing that someone is minding my dad while my mom is undergoing chemo and radiation. I receive daily reports on his activities and progress so I can be in the loop even though I'm out of state. There were a few hiccups with getting payments straightened out, but the staff have always been helpful, responsive, and professional. I wish we could afford to have this care longer, it really is incredibly valuable!

Harvest In-HomeCare was very responsive and supportive. My elderly mother living in my home, had a sudden change in her ability to personally care for herself. Thus I needed to find in home care to support her very quickly. Through A Place for Mom I was put in contact with Harvest In-HomeCare. I spoke with the owner at 3pm that day and by 8am the next morning (less than 24 hours), the supervisor and caregiver were at my home! Getting care set up and schedules arranged went very smoothly. The Harvest team was flexible to our needs and communication was great. The caregivers were kind and wonderful, and took excellent care of my mother. Thank you.

My loved one's had a mixed experience and eventually got rid of care as it was difficult for them to get used to having things not put away where they went etc. The cleaning and meal preparation were the things best liked.
I don't have any complaints about Home health care. I'd consider using them again, but would first look for a different company that could break into smaller shifts. The management seemed good, but there seemed to be a range of quality of the workers who were helping Dad. One seemed excellent, none seemed bad, but we only used the service for 2-3 weeks, so I don't feel I developed a strong relationship or connection with them. I don't actually have complaints and don't mean it to sound like I do. I wasn't impressed enough to write a rave review, but also don't have anything to compare them to.

All caregivers were good for my Dad...mostly professional, but some were a bit young. And one was a little bossy. They do require 30 hours per week. I would highly recommend their services.

I wouldn't recommend this company to a rat. After 9 weeks and over $[removed] worth of out of pocket care the only thing I would refer is the caregivers themselves. [name removed], [name removed], [name removed] and [name removed] actually cared for my mom - the management of the agency only wanted the money. This agency came through on the heels of 'A place for Mom' and frankly it should come off their list of referring agencies. Fortunately, the caregivers themselves treated my mom with the care and respect we wished for, even on a bad day and that was the ONLY thing that kept us with Harvest In-Home for so long. Much respect to them!

Fine overall care of my home and self after my return from four days of immobility in a hospital. Excellent recognition what was needed in both aspects, and very useful recommendations for improvement. Frequent visits from management to verify personnel performance and solicit my comments. Unusual!!
