Family member (FM) came here in 2021 for rehab and now in long term care. The rehab staff doesn’t compare to experience in another facility. FM didn’t progress under their guidance and staff were not communicative. The food is indescribable. Nursing staff is good. However, aides are TERRIBLE - don’t respond to bell, don’t change dirty beds, don’t effectively care for FM hygiene, poor attitudes toward residents… Unfortunately it seems that there is lack of oversight for aides and these issues go unchanged. Finally, management seems to be deaf to issues that are brought up.

Don’t bring your loved one here. There’s virtually no staff. If you can ever get through on the phone, , you won’t be able ( especially on a weekend) to talk to your family member . The direct line phones in their rooms , aren’t loud enough for them to hear , therefore you have to contact someone at the nursing station. Most of the time they won’t answer!!! They move the patients , never go back to the same room, especially if you were sent to the hospital for a test . No one knows where your personal effects are after you return. You get unclear answers on your parents health .And an employee brought Covid into the place and infected patients. You have to test for Covid every two days, why aren’t employees tested daily ??? They see all the patients daily, you see one patient. Run from this place !!!!

Disgusted my mother was at another facility only to find out she tested positive for the Covid and so we get a phone call stating she has to go to this facility due to it being a Covid only facility so wit that being said , it’s been horrible from day one !! She is a recent stroke victim and can’t fend for herself and is in a diaper and just have been told she is beat red due to sitting in her own feces and crying cause she’s I pain come to find out they did a culture on her and she has an infection that we have to wait 48 hours for the results and be I pain :( I feel helpless I can’t go there to check on her or make sure she’s ok!! And the phone system is horrible no communication from them whatsoever unless I [removed] this place is a real nightmare I can’t wait to get my mother out of here and never come back!!!

Response from Harris Hill Nursing Facility
November 7, 2017We appreciate your feedback!
Everything there was lovely and all of the people were so helpful I have no complaints at all. Everyone was always very interested in my comfort and all of the girls from PT and OT were amazing. The nurses were all very helpful and willing to do what I needed to make me more comfortable. The meals left a lot to be desired. They were not very tasty and there was not a lot of thought put into it. I hate to complain but they could use improvement.

A Place for Mom has scored Harris Hill Nursing Facility 2 out of 10 using our proprietary review score.
We assign review scores to give a more reliable view into senior living communities and home care agencies. Our review scores prioritize reviews that are recent — the past 24 months — because we know families need current information when choosing senior care.
Those with many recent, positive reviews receive a high review score, while providers with few recent reviews — regardless of how positive — receive a lower review score. Communities with no recent reviews will not have a review score, even if older reviews are positive. The maximum A Place for Mom review score a community can receive is 10 points.
