Wonderfully highly trained professional staff took care of our family member and we were very pleased with our experience!!! We went thru Hospice so it was a difficult time for our family and GHHR made the transition easier for us with their care and support. Both the Administrator and Director of Nursing were there for sincere condolences and everyone from dietary, housekeeping, nursing were especially wonderful, and our techs [Name removed], [Name removed], and a few others took such great care of her! The first week or so it was ok. Then comes Veterans Day and the staff became surly and seemed not to care. Menu same day after day. No coffee ever. Do not understand kitchen never delivering breakfast food before 10:00 and it is cold.

My father declined rapidly in this place. He was isolated from his family and we were only allowed to see him three times a week for 30 minutes and the woman running the “visitation” is as the most arrogant, condescending person I have encountered. He was more confused every day, he got weaker every day and we had zero information about his care, his therapies, his condition, etc. It felt like the goal was to isolate patients from their families so we wouldn’t ask questions about things like whether he was eating all of his meals, whether he had been urinating or having bowel movements, how he was doing in Physical Therapy, etc. Thankfully his stay was relatively brief and he is doing extremely well at home with competent care and family involvement!

I saw the bad reviews on this place, but met with the staff and was very impressed. I moved my mother in 3 weeks ago and all has been well. She is getting great care and is very happy there. The staff has been kind and very responsive. The place is clean, smells good, and everyone appears happy to work there. We are both very happy with the decision!

This place is horrible. Mother was not changed after arriving for at least 24 hours. Attendant did not clean her after she had "soaked" in urine. Left soiled linen in sink. Mom was not showered until 4 days after she got the. Clothing on her was left on her repeatedly overnight. There have been other incidents of urine soaked clothes on bed... Other patients sit in gathering area near elevator... There's a small CD player there with 2 CDs that is rarely played. There is not enough space in this to continue the list of neglect. Either the staff is not trained to attend to the severely impaired or they ignore the most basic protocols of care. Have met with administrators an no follow through
