We were visiting from NC when my youngest daughter suffered an arm fracture. I took her to the ER at Itasca Grand and found myself wildly surprised by the experience. The facility was nearly immaculate considering the normal patient traffic, the staff were helpful and organized, and my wait time to see the doctor was significantly less than what I have experienced at other hospitals, though they did get busy and my total visit reached 3 hours. Even so, that's pretty good in my experience! I can't say enough good about this place. The hospital environment so often feels chaotic and as if even the staff are struggling to keep up and in charge. That was not my impression at Itasca Grand. The doctors and staff seemed comfortable with their work, busy but not strained. I wish I could pluck it up and take it home with me for the next emergency!
