Pre COVID they had daily activities the residents could participate in. The activities director was wonderful and always encouraged our loved one to get engaged. Her communication with us was excellent. The food they serve is okay and the rooms in the assisted living are fine. You can bring your own furniture and make it as cozy and homey as you would like. The rooms for the skilled nursing are fine as well. The administrative director was wonderful, we can not say enough good things about her. She followed up with us constantly and she knew us by name. During COVID i would bring little goodie bags for our loved one and she would make sure he got them. Even if we couldn't stop by and drop off candy for him, she would go out of her way to bring him candy herself.... Read more

My 85 yr old, went into GHS/PRISMA Hosp system. He fell, had issues that Prisma, couldn't identify. He was there a Month. We sent him to a place he was at previously, little de we know how it had changed. Covid shutdown, I'm sure papa felt like a kitten dropped off at a fire dept. It wasn't 2 or 3 days, papa had to call US @ HOME FOR HELP! - ON THE BEDS IN THAT EVIL PLACE NO PHONES, NO NURSE CALL BUTTONS! PaPa had to call us @ h. 4 help! We had to call from our hm, to get an ambulance to take PaPa to Easley Baptist (Prisma Health). Called around 2:30am, we called our daughter, & son to meet us there. All of us dressed up from our heads to our feet, stood there, & WATCHED HIM DIE!!! It wasn't GHS/ PRISMA, OR EASLEY Baptist, aka as PRISMA. IT WAS EASLEY PLACE! THEY'VE HAVE HAD 3 NEW OWNERS, NEW STAFF, ETC. This 85 yr old man, a Marine, etc. Went in there ok, & DIED! NEVER SEND ANYONE U LOVE THERE! IT'S CHANGED!
Read MorePlease do not put anyone you know in here. Our experience was when we walked in the smell of urine was unreal. No one knew when we were there, when we left if our loved on left with us or not. My loved one was in a wing that they shut down due to not taking Medicaid anymore. They told us to higher a moving company or else we had to come and move it. We did not know they were infested with bed bugs and my loved one had rashes on her arm due to the bed bugs. They let my loved one sleep on the couch with the bed bugs on it. We were unable to move anything. I know many people that have pulled their loved ones from the community. The way the situation was handled was horrible.

The people who are working very hard here deserve to have credit given such as the nurses. They are lovely and have been so unbelievably kind. It has improved since we first got there. In the beginning they were very understaffed but they had a new director come in and it has made a huge difference. There was one nurse here, [name removed] who changed everything for everybody. She genuinely cares about the residents. I would want others to know when looking into Brookdale that they have a different ranges of lifestyle levels. In the end, they did such a good job keeping everybody safe.

I just wish the staff would understand and show some compassion for the residents. I feel the staff are overwhelmed but them need to put effort into looking at the residents as people who had full lives and backstories, who feel the same things they feel, and are at a place in life where they have lost so much including their strength, homes, and pets. The staff aren't mean but they seem like they are just emotionally fatigued and shut down. There are three staff members that go above and beyond and the cleaning staff do an immaculate job. The new nurse's presence has been like a ray of sunshine. She's kind, warm, and speaks to the residents like friends and really shows that she likes them a lot.

We arrived a day early and [name removed] and the director went out of their way to make us feel comfortable. A very nice facility and if it weren't for our two favorites, this facility would be in the running for our future home.

My mom was here for a couple of years and her long term care insurance began to run out, so I got a bit behind, but was paying the $4368 a month plus $700 additional each month per a written contract they came up with and asked me to sign!! I kept my end of the deal but the witch running the office stated that per Corprate office the balance needed to be paid immediately so I called corporate and they said they did not say that, a bit later I get a call from the lady at corporate saying that the lady at brookdale Easley was going to report me for abuse against my mother, whom I love dearly and have dedicated myself to caring for. There is nor was ever any abuse, I told her they had damn well have hardcore proof before they said it again or my lawyer would be sending a cease and desist letter preventing them from their slander. I completely saw red!!! My mom has always been taken care of and respected! Be careful if your family member is there under long term insurance because once it’s up they treat you like the trash of the earth! It’s all about money and appearances!!! BEWARE!!!!

The care seems to be okay, but the billing office and the management is where we found this place to be lacking the most. We found the initial respite rate was acceptable, but when we found out that we would need to stay permanently, the rate changed everytime we had a conversation. The also kept asking how much money we had coming in and how much we had in savings. That did not set well with us and we moved to another facility.

I saw Brookdale while looking at options for my loved one. The place seemed nice overall, but it was kind of old and out dated as well. I ultimately decided to go with another community that I liked better and thought would be a better fit for my loved one.

We had a nice tour of the Brookdale Easley. The staff was friendly and helpful providing information regarding their community. It was a clean and well-kept community. We chose another community based on our loved one's needs.

Parents lived here. Not impressed. Staff is helpful only when applying for residency. Almost like a Hospice situation. WAY too expensive for the quality of the facility and care. You can do better. Keep shopping.

My friend is doing well at this community. She is making friends. The food is cafeteria style and she seems to like it. The staff are responsive and helpful. Housekeeping is doing a good job cleaning her apartment and helping with the laundry. They do offer some daily activities and they keep the community well maintained. We like that this is a continuing care community. My only complaint would be that there are no computers for the residents to use. I would recommend this community.

I like the care for my mom at this community. She likes that staff and the clean environment. The menu is appealing and she seems to be pleased with variety. They offer her to participate in the activity. We would recommend this community for the care of a loved one to other families.

I am so pleased with Brookdale Easley and my brother really enjoys living there. My brother has a studio apartment with a nice kictenette where he can eat his breatfast, then he gets two meals which are covered and he enjoys eating his lunch and dinner in the formal dining room with the covered tables and he says the food is great as well. There are all kinds of activities including pool tables which the admitting gal played a round of pool with my brother the day he was signed in at Brookdale Easley. We do pay extra to have his apt cleaned and his clothes washed but they do a fantastic job. We did have to buy some of the furniture and a TV for his apartment. Everything there is clean and air conditioned. They also have a covered patio with tables and chairs outside for the residenances to use. They make sure they keep an eye open and if the residences need help in their apt they are there to help them. They also have transportation for the residents so they can go to their doctor appointments and pick up their meds at Walmart as well as grocery shopping and they allow pets. Yes, I would highly recommend Brookdale Easley to my friends and family.

The staff here are doing a wonderful job with mom. Mom likes the food as far as I can tell. The staff has been trying to get mom involved with some of the activities which is what I like. Mom likes to be around the other residents as well. The community is a older community, but they do keep it clean for her.

My in law's was at this community for short time to recover from her surgery. It was decent experience for the most part. They were happy with the food, the meals were nice. I would say they need to respond quicker to help calls, and also the help button in their room did not work. She was not happy when they knocked on her door at 1 am in the morning, to collect laundry. We were for the most part satisfied, and my husband and I would had felt comfortable with them staying at this community.
