I can’t give any stars to this place, they are very low on staffing and those patients, including my best friend, has to sit and wait 1 1/2 hours to 4 hours for a diaper change. This is uncalled for. They do not hire enough help to give patients that are bedridden the proper care..

My 95 year old mother was given [removed] at DaySpring in Fairborn, without my (POA) knowledge or consent. Haldol is an antipsychotic drug used for schizophrenia and has an FDA black box label that its use in elderly with dementia increases the risk of death. She was admitted on a Wed, and the drug was prescribed on Friday. Our first care conference was on Monday and there was no mention of the use nor need for the drug at all. I only found out when we relocated Mom to a memory care center and their Dir of Nursing noticed it in Mom's chart. I'm not getting satisfactory answers from the DaySprings DON. In addition to unauthorized and excessive medication, mom was often wearing the same outfit for days on end and our instructions or requests were often ignored. She left in worse shape than she arrived. I could not recommend this facility to anyone in good faith.

A Place for Mom has scored Dayspring Transitional Care Center 1 out of 10 using our proprietary review score.
We assign review scores to give a more reliable view into senior living communities and home care agencies. Our review scores prioritize reviews that are recent — the past 24 months — because we know families need current information when choosing senior care.
Those with many recent, positive reviews receive a high review score, while providers with few recent reviews — regardless of how positive — receive a lower review score. Communities with no recent reviews will not have a review score, even if older reviews are positive. The maximum A Place for Mom review score a community can receive is 10 points.
