We chose Daughters of Miriam because my sister knows someone who works there. The price is really good on the apartments here and my mom is able to still cook some of her own meals. The apartment is very spacious so she doesn't feel confined to one little room. It is also a Jewish facility, you don't have to be jewish to move in, but my mother felt that she was able to still go to holidays and feel like she is in a community. Right now, the food is hit or miss due to COVID, Prior to COVID though, she had no complaints. My mother really enjoys the activities they have such as bingo, current events, crafts, Yittish classes, music, etc. She is very social and has helped other residents learn how to do Facetime on their phones.
