Change is HARD!! It was difficult leaving our lovely home after 46 years. In short — it was the best decision we ever made and we could not be happier! Life simply does not get any easier as the years go by and making the big, bold decision to move to Cypress Glen was the right one for us! I could not imagine a more positive, supportive, or smooth transition to our new home than the one we just experienced! After just two months here we are enjoying truly a “new beginning “! From our initial call to Cypress for some basic information to our actual decision to make it our new home we received tremendous support from the marketing and move-in staff members. That kind of positive, loving support made our relocation to our new home that much sweeter! Cypress is the type of place where one can “thrive” and grow as an individual. I do believe that life is what we make it — and I can’t wait to see what lies ahead!!... Read more

I'd like to thank the Cypress Glen Community (staff and residents) who have made my mother's first year there so special! Relocating to her new home in Greenville (especially during a pandemic) one year ago went very well. Our family (including Mom) have been pleased with the care she's received and the friends she's made. Happy First Anniversary to Mom at Cypress Glen!

This is a larger community that looked like a nice clean community when we visited. The person that took us on tour was nice. They seemed to offer some nice amenities including a swimming pool.

When my mother-in-law entered Cypress Glen, she & her family were assured that she would remain there for the rest of her life. When all of her savings from the sale of her home was exhausted, her social security & retirement would not cover the cost. At this time, she & her daughters were informed that they did not do charity cases at Cypress Glen. She had a spacious private room and was only 20 miles from one of her daughters. She was then transferred to a [Removed] home in Lumberton, NC, which was 125 miles from her daughter, making it a major trip to visit her mother. She was put in a tiny room shared with another patient. This room had 2 beds, 2 dressers and 2 chairs with hardly room to walk. After this happened, her other daughter had her admitted to a much nicer private facility in Raleigh where all of her cost was covered. Be wary of what you're promised at Cypress Glen & make sure you get all of it in writing or you may be carted off to a smaller room in another facility in Lumberton, NC when they have exhausted all of your savings & you're left with only your retirement check.

They were really expensive, I've heard good things about them and I've heard bad things about them. They're spending their monies in the wrong ways. They're building this olympic sized pool and jacking up all the prices people pay. They're building this palacial thing worthy of a gym that 70 year old people don't need so we kind of avoided that.

A Place for Mom has scored Cypress Glen 8 out of 10 using our proprietary review score.
We assign review scores to give a more reliable view into senior living communities and home care agencies. Our review scores prioritize reviews that are recent — the past 24 months — because we know families need current information when choosing senior care.
Those with many recent, positive reviews receive a high review score, while providers with few recent reviews — regardless of how positive — receive a lower review score. Communities with no recent reviews will not have a review score, even if older reviews are positive. The maximum A Place for Mom review score a community can receive is 10 points.
