Country Meadows of Frederick

My mom has been a resident at Country Meadows for 3 months. She came here following several hospitalizations and 2 stays in a rehab center. Her illness left her weak and no longer able to perform her own personal care or walk without assistance. While at Country Meadows, she has received physical therapy and she goes to daily group exercise classes. The aides assist her with walking to meals and activities. Although she still has a way to go and continues to require some assistance, she is much improved. Mom seems to have adjusted well. She likes the food and the fact that she can order from a menu. All the staff members are friendly, kind and helpful. When she calls for help, someone responds very quickly. The facility is beautiful, clean and well run. We are happy with the care she is receiving.

Country Meadows in Frederick has been a life saver for our family. We had to transition my mom from an independent living facility in Virginia to an assisted living facility. We chose Country Meadows due to a number of things but right off the bat was the communication we received from [name removed]. She was outstanding during this process and was so patient with me and all the questions I had. Every employee had a great attitude and was so nice to my mom. My mom has met new friends and really seems to like her new surroundings. If I have questions or concerns I can email or call and I will receive a quick response. To me that is so important. I highly recommend this facility and when you do I am sure [names removed]. will impress you to a point where this place would be the best option for your loved one.

Mother moved from Florida to Country Meadows in Frederick MD to be closer to family after several falls. She moved into Assisted Living and quickly integrated into the home. She had her independence as initially she needed little assistance but over the last 9 years she has required more assistance and the staff at Country Meadows has been excellent at providing that assistance without taking away her independence. The staff are excellent and get to know the residents and often go out of their way to do things for the residents. We are moving to North Carolina and have yet to find a home that can provide the levels of care and staffing that Country Meadows has.

Prior to moving to Country Meadows about a year and a half ago we wondered how living in an apartment would feel like having living in our own home for the first 63 years of out marriage. We definitely found out we have made the right move coming here, it's great. The employee are wonderful, The apartment is very nice and we have fixed it up to making it very "Homey". All of the residents are very friendly and eager to help new residents. Being a WWII Veteran it was very important that we had Veterans connections, we now have our own in-house Veteran's group that meets on a monthly basis. Also they saw to it that we get the National Football games on Sundays in addition to the regular TV program. There are so many special think to do here including various classes, including art classes and many others. There is even Mah Jong for the ladies several times a week. If you are ready to retire, want to stop shopping , stop making meals, and best of all stop cleaning your place and kinda start relaxing you might want to give Country Meadows a look into.
