Working for Comfort Keepers has been a very good choice for me. As a retired RN, I worked many years in the hospital and home health care. I enjoy caring for clients and getting to know their families. With comfor t Keepers I spend part or a whole day with my client interacting with them, implementing the client and their family's goals for personal care. We assist the client with personal care, appointments, lunch in town, or a car ride to enjoy fresh air and beauty the season has to offer. We do household chores, cooking, and encourage clients in their hobbies and interest, giving them sense of fulfillment. Caring for my clients has been a source of great joy for me. I also get to make choices about my availability for work, and with notice to company staff, have my personal appoints arranged as needed. This company is very respectful to me. They honestly make me feel like I am part of their family. ---Joann Mckay
We initially hired this company to provide a month of care to my father after hip surgery at $1,000 per week or $4,000. They charged us up front. After surgery he had some delirium from anesthesia so my sister took a leave of absence from work and stayed with him to provide care for a month. We asked the company for a refund. They said they had to charge for the first week as the nurse had been booked. Which we understood, but it has been over 2 years and they still will not refund the remaining $3,000. They say they have, but we have not received it and they will not send a copy of the cancelled check. We are going to take them to court, costing more time and money.

I have had the pleasure of observing the work of [two caregivers]. It was very apparent when visiting the individual they were caring for that their relationship was professional and warm, and their work efficient and helpful. Great demonstration of how this service helps folks maintain their independence in the comfort of their own homes.
