Southern Pines Gracious Living has been a very good place for my mom, small enough that everyone knows each other and greats you when you come in. Staff is curious and helpful when needed. They don't provide nurse care or therapy but have some companies on site that do. I could not be happier with those providers!

The staff have been very friendly and accommodating towards the family and our loved one. The community is clean. The experience has been excellent for us so far.

For me it wasn't about the money it was about the care that they give to the residents. I would say to go to this community. I tell my wife that when I get older I am going to go here and it was the best place that I looked at. They have activities like religious activities, bingo, yoga, cards, knitting while they hang out and more for the residents to stay busy and active in the community.

Independent Living

For those who wish to live primarily without personal assistance but would like the convenience of having their household chores taken care of by professionalls, an Independent Living Community could be the perfect choice. Frequent needs such as housekeeping and the scheduling of social activities are accounted for, which provides occupants more free time to live active lives as they see fit. Along with their daily needs being met, residents can enjoy the opportunity to be among peers, in a community with others of similar ages and interests. Residents’ quarters consist of a private living space with their own kitchen. The independence of apartment life is still enjoyed, offering opportunities to entertain guests and visitors in a private and personal setting. While policies differ between locations, many residences allow pets as well. If residents decide they would like to enlist the services of private medical professionalls, they may always do so. There are a number of benefits and expenses to keep in mind while deciding on an independent living community. It is important to learn if these services are covered in your care plan: transportation, wellness program, field trips, utilities, private phone, cable TV, internet access, and initial assessment fee. The luxuries associated with independent living include golf course, private rental hall, restaurant-style dining hall, laundry service, concierge services, fitness center & swimming pool, community activities, and beauty salon & barber shop.
