The employees at The Brant at Gretna are friendly and kind, but there seems to be a lot of turnover. As for the food, when I've eaten there, it's great. My dad sometimes complains, though about the food being too difficult to chew. However, he is missing some teeth. During the weekdays, there are plenty of activities. On the weekends, however, the Memory Care Calendar doesn't match with any activity. The value for cost is good, we need to receive a 30 day evaluation, though. It is past due for probable lowering of the rate.

The place is pretty and the food is amazing but there is a CONSTANT turnover in staff. I see the "nurses" sitting around a lot. Not many activities on the Assisted living side. I thought there would be more help than there is.

We will address this issue and work on providing more activities on the Assisted living side. Thank you for bringing this to our attention.
The Brant is a brand new community, and they seem to be working the kinks out. I think Mom is safe, and the staff are good to her. Activities have been slow to start due to staffing issues. Also we are having some logistics issues with washer, dryer, and shower. Things were so hard to get when they were building that they had to settle for whatever they could get, even if it was poor quality and doesn't work well. Still working on that. Overall, no different than most facilities, and the priorities for us are being met: safety, checked on, provided medications, and has food offered - all in one place, which is what she needs. They have also gotten her to socialize, which she needed. She seems to be adjusting with just a few complaints.
